ABOUT
Welcome to my Capstone Website! My name is Nichole Plank. I teach first grade at Clara Bolen Elementary in Tawas City, MI. This is my sixth year teaching. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Child Development and Elementary Education. I also earned my Masters in Educational Technology (MAET) from Michigan State University. When I'm not at work, I can be found chasing after my four year old son Easton and two year old Hartlie.
Technology has been an important part of my teaching arsenal ever since my first days as a student teacher. I believe that it is important elementary students. Many of the available educational resouces are directed toward older elementary, middle, or high school students. Technology is just as relevant at an early age and can aid in the development of basic reading, writing, and math skills.
